Game story. Throw the game away and leave me story.

It just struck me. The thought. Well I was reading a blog post about playing The Witcher 2. And it came to me that probably the main reason of me wanting to play that game is to walk through the story of one of my ever favourite characters. If there would be a book telling the story which goes on in a game would it be enough for me? It might actually. Knowing that for some reason I've lost interest in triple A games I'm still mostly interested in what's going on there and not the fancy graphics. Well I'm RPG fan anyway and RPG supposed to be all about story.
I think I should try and read some of those novels based on games like Gears of War and so on.
